Together, We Can Make It Possible
We’re excited to begin fundraising for the next chapter of transforming our newly acquired building in Laramie into LAWS’ future forever home. The Almost Home Building Project is a community-supported effort to make this vision a reality.
This work is only possible through the compassion and generosity of our community. Every gift, big or small, helps move this project forward.

When we purchased the building, we knew we were taking on a space with tremendous potential, but also one that needed a lot of work.
At this stage, the building is unfinished and lacks many of the systems and features needed to safely and comfortably support animals, volunteers, and the programs our community relies on. That said, important progress has already been made: much of the electrical work has been completed, the roof has been replaced, and two new heating units have been installed.
While this represents meaningful progress, additional infrastructure work and interior build-out are still needed to fully support animals, volunteers, and community programs.
Sharing this stage openly is important to us. Every remaining improvement, from electrical and heating upgrades to animal spaces and community rooms, will be made possible through community support, grants, and donated labor.
