Adoption Impact
Since 2014, LAWS has helped 3,169 animals find loving homes. This includes 2,621 cats and kittens, 505 dogs and puppies, and 43 small animals. Every adoption represents a life transformed, from frightened, abandoned, or unwanted pets to cherished family members. Your support makes these happy endings possible, giving each animal the medical care, safety, and time they need before finding their forever home.

City of Laramie Shelter Support
Since 2014, LAWS has paid $527,375 toward the care of animals at the City of Laramie Animal Shelter. These funds cover spay/neuter surgeries, life-saving medical procedures, emergency treatment, and behavioral support for pets who need a little extra help before they can be adopted. This partnership represents a major portion of our annual budget, and it ensures that every shelter animal receives the care, compassion, and second chance they deserve.

Community Cat TNR Program
Since 2014, our TNR program has fixed 1,305 community cats, including 664 females and 641 males, dramatically reducing the number of kittens born outdoors each year. Our TNR Program traps, vaccinates, and fixes feral and community cats, returning adults, barn-homing juveniles, and placing kittens in foster/adopt homes, humanely reducing the outdoor cat population.
LAWS is “Almost Home”
This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking our community to help us take the next big step toward opening the doors of our new rescue center. In May 2024, LAWS purchased a commercial building with one goal: creating a safe, welcoming, purpose-built space for animals and the people who care about them.
With your help, this building will soon become a true community hub —
a place where animals receive lifesaving medical care, fosters pick up supplies, families find their new best friend, and neighbors can access our Pet Food Pantry when times are tough.
