LAWS Cat Adoption Program
At LAWS, our goal is to help every cat in our care find a safe, loving, and permanent forever home where they will be valued as part of the family. We thoughtfully review each application to ensure that every placement supports the long-term well-being, happiness, and stability of both the animal and the adopter.
Every cat has a unique personality, some are playful and outgoing, while others may be shy or reserved. Our team works carefully to match each cat with a household that best fits their temperament, energy level, and individual needs so that each adoption is truly for life.
Please read ALL of the following information carefully before applying:
Age Requirement:
You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a cat or small animal from LAWS. Proof of age will be required.
Housing Considerations:
If your current housing situation is temporary, such as renting, please carefully consider whether you will be able to take your pet with you to future housing. One of the most common reasons for relinquishment is “moving and cannot take with.” If you have any doubt about your ability to provide a lifelong home, we encourage you to consider fostering instead of adoption. We are always in need of feline and canine foster homes, and LAWS covers approved foster expenses. You can learn more on our Foster Page.
Application Process:
Applications are reviewed with the specific cat in mind, and our priority is finding the best possible match. Not all applications are approved. Approval does not guarantee adoption of a specific cat, and meetings are scheduled only after an application has been reviewed and approved.
Complete Applications Required:
Please read all questions carefully and provide full, detailed answers. Applications that are incomplete or missing required information may not be processed or may be denied.
Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate denial. LAWS reserves the right to deny any application or discontinue the process if we determine placement is not in the best interest of the animal.
Our first priority is always the health, safety, and happiness of our adoptable pets.
