Meet Poke` Our Resilient, Sweet Boy

Poke`s story began with some tough challenges. This handsome boy came to our local shelter after struggling with a painful urinary blockage. His previous owner had done their best, taking him to the vet multiple times for urinary issues, but sadly could no longer afford the ongoing care he needed.

When the shelter reached out to us, we knew we wanted to help. We agreed to take Poke' into our foster program and cover the cost of his medical care so he could get the treatment he deserved and start fresh.

Poke` spent nearly two weeks at the vet, where he received catheter care, medications, and a special urinary diet. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, he’s now stable and will be heading to a loving foster home on October 9th where he will be closely monitored.

Poke’s care so far has totaled around $1,000, and he may still need additional treatment and surgery down the road. We’re hopeful that with the right diet and continued monitoring, he’ll continue to heal, but we could really use your help covering his medical costs and special food.
